R. Franco Digital, Spain’s leading gaming provider, is taking players around the bullring in its latest bullfighting-inspired title Toreador.

Drawing on Spain’s oldest tradition, the slot immerses players in a bullfighting arena. In keeping with the concept, it features traditional attire such as the matador jacket, cape and decorated wooden sticks known as banderillas as its symbols.

Players must match symbols across the 5×3 reels and 20 paylines to be rewarded within the base game, with three scatter symbols triggering the exciting free spins round.

During this round, 20 free spins are awarded. Replacing the first reel, the matador appears and collects the bulls on the board which act as wilds, offering even more chances to win.

Providing an additional way to boost win potential, scatter symbols landed during this round grant up to five additional free spins.

The Spanish slot boasts innovative features and captivating graphics and provides an unmatched gaming experience to players.

A demo of the game can be accessed here.

Commenting on the launch, Javier Sacristán Franco, International Business Director of R. Franco Digital, said: “With Toreador, our aim was to create a slot that celebrates Spain on a global scale, providing a traditional bullfighting theme and combining it with innovative features that give players a truly state-of-the-art gaming experience.

“We are thrilled with this latest release and are confident it will really engage and captivate our audience while delivering impressive results to our operator partners.”

Toreador is the latest addition to R. Franco Digital’s extensive games catalogue, which can be enjoyed by players across Belgian, Colombian, Spanish, MGA and Curacao-licensed markets.

With Spain’s Senate having passed further restrictive measures, what is the future for online gambling in the country? We ask R Franco Digital’s Chief Commercial Officer Mario Benito for his views.

How will the new advertising regulations in Spain impact on the growth of the online gambling market in the country?

Online gambling is a multi-billion dollar industry that has been growing rapidly in recent years. As the number of people gambling online increases, more and more governments are regulating the industry. The regulation of online gambling is an important issue for the economy, because it can have a profound effect on how many people gamble online – as well as where they gamble online – and can cause the market to slow down quite abruptly.

How do you view the new restrictions on slots – requiring customers to set session times and spend amounts?

This will most certainly negatively affect the amount wagered by each user and the limitations will cause most players to reduce their hours of use. However, it will also create players who are more aware of what they can afford to spend and therefore help to regulate the problem of uncontrolled gambling.

Is there a danger that the new restrictions will see players turning more to unlicensed operators?

Consumers using unlicensed operators are unsuspecting or casual gamblers. We have seen that gamblers may specifically search for unlicensed operators, or use VPNs, international contact details or alternative payment methods (cryptocurrencies for example) and are therefore able to access more sites than those that are regulated.

Consumers are exposed to unlicensed operators via other marketing channels, including major affiliate sites, major sports team and venue sponsors and mobile app stores. However, we believe that regular players will continue to gamble and play at casinos they trust, despite the increased regulations.

Finally, is Spain still an attractive market for operators and suppliers?

Definitely. Despite the new restrictions, we are convinced that the Spanish market will continue to grow slowly but steadily. This will allow R Franco Digital to have a good base of casinos with loyal customers who will help the industry to grow and continue to improve over the coming years.

R. Franco Digital closed out the latest edition of SiGMA Europe in Malta as one of the leading lights of the event, thanks to its innovative products and technologically advanced solutions.

Among the highlights of the company’s product range, and one that generated the most interest, was the IRIS 4.0 platform, which has consolidated its status as one of the most complete, versatile and stable technological solutions on the market. Integrated within this platform is the administration of payment gateways, player profiles, game configuration and reporting systems, allowing for in-depth management of any type of activity.

The product is available to a wide variety of platforms and providers of games, sports betting, casino and virtual sports, and is compatible with the highest-quality management tools, including CRM, commercial intelligence, marketing, email, affiliates and call centre management.

IRIS provides operators with a comprehensive solution that allows for the management and continued growth of a business, providing a competitive advantage in key markets such as Latin America, Spain and Europe.

Another standout product at the Malta event was Kolyseo. This remote game server, based on microservices with an MGA licence, has the capacity to host any type of game and provides easy integration with different player platforms.

In addition, R. Franco Digital’s presence in Malta was supplemented by a wide range of entertaining slots, rounding out a comprehensive exhibition at the show.

Mario Benito, Commercial Director of R. Franco Digital, said: “We want to thank the organisers of this latest edition of SiGMA Europe for all their commitment and hard work.

“It was a great success in allowing us to demonstrate the solutions and technological developments at our disposal that enable us to continue adding value to our sector, as well as providing the best resources to our customers so that they continue to grow.”

Spain’s leading gaming provider R. Franco Digital is taking players into battle with its latest game, Vikings Rage, a new online slot where only the strongest can emerge victorious.

Vikings Rage is a six-reel slot with a total of 200,704 prize lines and a Free Spins round that offers players even more chances for big wins.

A variable number of symbols can fall on each reel during each spin, up to eight, which greatly increases the number of lines.

A Scatter symbol can appear on reels one, three and five, with a Free Games session with 15 spins that is triggered when three Scatter symbols appear on the reels. If three Scatter symbols appear during Free Games, an additional five spins are awarded.

A Wild symbol also features, which can appear on reels two, four and six, and replaces all symbols apart from the Scatter and Bonus symbols.

In addition, a Weapon Throwing bonus round can be triggered. This bonus consists of two phases: first, a weapon is randomly selected, with each weapon awarding different prizes.

In the second phase, if the axe is selected, a shot at the target will be launched, which awards the prize corresponding to the ring that is hit. If the bow is selected, three arrows are launched, with the prize equaling the sum of the targets hit.

Commenting on the launch, Mario Benito, Commercial Director of R. Franco Digital, said: “Vikings Rage is the latest in a long line of high-quality online slots that encompasses everything our players have come to expect from our games, offering memorable, engaging gaming experiences.

“We always aim to meet the high demands of our audience, and we have done just that with this exciting new title. We are sure it will prove a hit with our partners in the weeks to come.”
